Not for Profit Accounts

As a locally owned and managed bank, First Bank & Trust knows something about "community." And the Not-For-Profit Account was developed to assist community organizations in achieving their goals.

The account clusters a number of services that meet the needs of associations, charities, schools and other Not-For-Profit organizations.

Not-For-Profit organizations need to keep their money working toward the programs which they foster. The Not-For-Profit Account features were developed to easily and inexpensively help those who help our community. We believe in your mission and here’s how we wish to show it:

Checking Accounts - Free

If you have fewer than 250 transactions per month, your organization accounts---whether an operating account, a payroll account or any special account---will not be subject to a monthly service charge.* Also, your first order of checks is free, up to 120 safety paper checks.

Employee Accounts - Free also

Because your employees do such good work for the community, we will waive the basic monthly service charges on traditional checking accounts for your salaried employees.*

*Other service charges such as overdraft charges may apply.

Easy and Inexpensive Credit Card Processing

If you’re a Not-For-Profit organization that accepts Credit Card donations on an ongoing basis but you don't know where to turn for a reputable company to process these transactions, we'd love to put you in touch with a company that has a great track record for doing just that. For a nominal cost, you can have the convenience of providing your supporters an easy and enticing way to help support your mission.

If you wish to be able to accept Credit Cards for just one event per year, we can help you with that as well. We will help you by doing the electronic processing for you---there's no need to buy any equipment or supplies. For Not-for-Profit organizations, there is a small fee for this service---just $15 and 3% of the net transactions. You just bring us the signed sales slips and we'll do the rest.

Online Banking Services

FirstBank Express, our Consumer/Small Business Internet Banking platform, is available for you at no charge. You may use this to view your account balances and activity, transfer funds between accounts and pay bills.

Promoting Your Organization and its Goals

At www.firstbt.com, we have a Community Calendar just waiting for your organization. We invite our local Not-for-Profits to create a listing for the organization and, on an ongoing basis, to use the calendar to publicize its events. It's easy to use---and YOU determine what to say and when to post something. We also offer the use of our Church Street display window to promote your organization.

Low Cost Credit

First Bank & Trust can provide or, in some cases, arrange with a government agency, the most appropriate loan at market rates when the need arrives.

Speaker's Bureau

Officers of our bank are available to speak to your employees, your constituents, your members, your students on such issues as money management skills, how the banking system works and how to obtain credit. We are a community-oriented bank.

Conference Rooms

At many of our locations we have conference rooms that we will make available during normal business hours, by reservation, to our NFP organizations. Just call the location you wish to use to make arrangements.
