Taking a Vacation?
These days travel involves a lot of thought. There are itineraries to plan, reservations to be made, hotels to be booked—and then, there’s the often forgotten notification to your bank.
ATM and Debit Card use can provide you ready cash and access to goods at reasonable prices no matter where you are. Often, however, transactions that are unusual either because of dollar amount, increased number or location can trigger red flags on that card. Because we are so aware of fraudulent credit card activity, we employ software that looks at card usage and, when indicated, blocks further use of the card until the situation can be explained.
That’s why we are asking you to add us to your list of things to do before leaving for vacation. Please take a moment to call us and let us know about your travel plans. If we know where you’re going and for how long your “exotic” activity will not trigger the shutdown of your card and you’ll be able to enjoy your vacation without having to worry about how you’re going to pay for it.
And, by the way, please remember that you can use your ATM or Debit Card surcharge-free (up to 8 times per monthly statement period) anywhere in the world.
