16 Years and Counting!
It hardly seems possible, but First Bank & Trust opened its doors more than 16 years ago. On September 29th, 1995, after a few days of “practice” with our new equipment, we officially opened our doors and—as they say—the rest is history.
From a wonderful idea that was made reality by Bob Yohanan, Howard Kain and Jay Lytle, we have grown to a bank with thousands of customers, and more than 18,000 accounts. We started with a staff of 12 (8 of whom are still here) and have grown to a staff of over 100. We now have 7 offices with more on the way (see the story on our new Skokie Branch).
And we have all of you to thank for this. To those of you who have been with us since the very beginning and to those of you who have joined us along the way we say a truly heartfelt “THANK YOU”.
We know we’ve said this before, but this seems like a good time to repeat that our customers are the best in the world, and we appreciate all the kind things you have to say about us! We love your encouragement and your suggestions on how we can do things better. Please continue to come see us or call anytime.
